However, the kitchen serves well as a place to meet during the day. Each of the three rooms are independently rented out. The creation of a homely and comfortable atmosphere is paramount for me and there is no "hard criteria" or requirement regarding gender, age or activity in life. Your room has approx. 13m², new flooring & paint, and is unfurnished, ready for your touch. The shared flat is located in Berlin-Niederschöneweide, a quiet and green neighborhood in the southeast of the city. The area is well connected to public transport: the tram stop Grünauer Straße (lines 27 and 67) is just a 4-minute walk away, and the S-Bahn station Schöneweide (S45, S46, S47, S8, S85, S9) can be reached in about 10 minutes by tram or bike. Daily shopping is easy – several supermarkets like Edeka, Lidl, and Aldi are within walking or short biking distance. There are also bakeries, drugstores, and cafés nearby. The riverside of the Spree and local parks offer great spots to relax outdoors. The area is popular with students and young professionals due to its calm atmosphere and good access to universities like HTW Berlin, which is only about 10 minutes away by bike or tram. It takes around 30 minutes to reach central Berlin (e.g., Alexanderplatz or Ostkreuz) by public transport. What is the process to apply for the apartment and what documents do I need to provide?
