    Pempelfort is closely bound up with Düsseldorf’s development as a city of the arts and as a garden city. A large part of the Hofgarten, with its gardener’s lodge (today the Theatermuseum) and the Schloss Jägerhof palace, which was built in the 18th century and is now the home of the Goethe Musuem), lies in Pempelfort.
