Lagebeschreibung
Hörde was once an independent locality, becoming part of Dortmund in 1928. The district is characterised by dense residential development, with its old town featuring a compact pedestrian zone. The blast furnace's gasometer, along with the historically notable 'Hoesch' lettering, meanwhile enjoys protected status. The south-westernmost portion Hacheney is near the Botanical Garden.
